ARTITS NATION: Red Sonja

Since its creation (February 1973 Conan the Barbarian # 23 of Marvel Comics) at the hands of Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor-Smith, Red Sonja has always been a character that inspired "fantasies" and handled brutally readings comics-readers of all the world. As soon as she arrived in Italy, the February 11, 1974 by "Gli Albi dei Super-Eroi" n. 43 published by Editoriale Corno, don't talk about their own. Dalla sua creazione (febbraio del 1973 in Conan the Barbarian n.23 della Marvel Comics) a opera di Roy Thomas e Barry Windsor-Smith, Red Sonja è sempre stato un personaggio che ha animato "le fantasie" e movimentato brutalmente le letture dei fumettari di tutto il mondo. Non appena è arrivata in Italia, l'11 Febbraio del 1974 mediante "Gli Albi dei Super-Eroi" n. 43 edito da Corno, non ne parliamo proprio. Sex Symbol femminile dell'universo di Howard da contrapporre al brutale Conan, Red Sonja è l'abile spadaccina che, seppur non vesta altro che uno striminzito bikini di maglio, è praticamente invincibile! Non essendo un personaggio di Howard (anche se fonti affermano che si ispiri alla protagonista del suo racconto breve "The Shadow of the Vulture" del libro "The Magic Carpet" del 1934) i puristi del cimmero la vedono come un personaggio che ha la sua dimensione solo nell'arte sequenziale.
Ed è proprio per questo motivo che eserciti di fumettisti hanno apposto il loro segno per dare vita alla personale interpretazione di una così sensuale seppur pericolosa eroina del fantasy. In definitiva: chi siamo noi, ArTits Nation, per non dare il nostro contributo?
